Obituary of Jeanne M. Allan

Mrs. Jeanne M. Allan, 84, of East State Street Extension, Gloversville died peacefully on Saturday, December 9, 2017. Born in Gloversville, NY she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Orvetta Ettlemyer. A lifelong area resident, Jeanne attended local schools. She was employed as a bank teller for Key Bank for several years until her retirement. Jeanne was a member of the Foothills United Methodist Church. She enjoyed being with her family and dreamed of living on the lake. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was predeceased by her husband, Wayne Allan; her siblings Gerald Ettlemyer and Carol Goodemote; her son, Jim Allan; and her sons-in-law, Steve Elmendorf and Robert Johnson. Survivors include her children, Lorna J. Johnson and Tod H. Allan; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Elmendorf (Rick Cheney), Laura and Sarah Elmendorf, Wayne (Brooke) Allan, Amy Allan, Jamie Walsh, Jimmy (Beth) Allan, Tammy Allan (Chris Stankes) ; four great grandchildren, Caleb, Benjamin, Karli and Charles; nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 12p.m. at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street Gloversville. Visitation for family and friends will take place prior to the service on Monday, beginning at 10a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
