Obituary of Winifred M. Perrone

Winifred M. Perrone, age 83, of Schoharie, died Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at her home. She was born July 13, 1934 in Gloversville, the daughter of Newton and Mildred (Hammer) Chase. She enjoyed working at Terrace Mountain Orchard in Schoharie the past 20 years with her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling the world with her husband of 65 years, Rene Perrone. Cooking, spending time with her family and friends, the great outdoors and taking walks were also favorites to Winifred. She was a former member of the Nathan Littauer Hospital Auxiliary. In addition to her husband, Winifred is survived by three daughters, Roxanne Schmidt and husband Jorg of Amsterdam, Valerie Farrington and husband Mark of Mayfield and Pamela Donbeck and husband Stephen of Gloversville. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Jennie and husband Michael Rogers and their daughters Sydney and Sophia, Mary Ferrara and her sons Dimaggio and Gehrig, Rene Farrington and fiancé Liz Angelina, Brett Melita, Benjamin Farrington and wife Jamie and children Gabby, Ava, Ella and Carter, Abigail Gargiulo and companion Kolin Hallenbeck and children Olivia and Connor, and Sadie and husband Richard VanWagner, as well as two step-grandchildren, Mila and Leila. Winifred was predeceased by her parents and a grandson, Josh Towne. The family will receive relatives and friends from 11:00am to 12:00pm Saturday, December 16 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home: 51 Fremont St, Gloversville, where a Funeral Service will follow at 12:00pm with the Rev.
