Bob was one of my 1st cousins on my dad's side. One of my favorite memories of him was from my 5th birthday when he gave me a teddy bear. I still have and cherish that bear...65 years later. Bob was such a gentle man and I enjoyed having conversations with him over the years. I was saddened to learn of his passing. Rest in peace sweet cousin.

Bob Klapmeyer was a great friend of my mother Ruth Paton Cronkhite. I sent in a tribute just after Bob passed away, but it never appeared on this tribute wall:( Here as I'm trying again, is my sadness at Bob's passing. But we must remember, he is now in a far better place. I would come to visit him often, even after I was living in Pennsylvania, and New York State, and now in Florida.
He was a great Believer in Jesus Christ and lived it well.
God bless you Bob!
Your friend,
R. Bruce Cronkhite

I knew Bob from RIver Ridge LC where he was a resident. He was such a sweet, gentle man. He loved watching the birds at his bird feeder outside his room window. He loved his sweet treats like Little Debbie's cupcakes and muffins and his OJ.He kept to himself most of the time but i would sit and visit with him in his room often. I used to always pick his name at Christmas for a gift. My thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family at this time. I will miss him alot. Dona Miller

We were so sorry to hear of Bobs passing. He and my Dad, Owen Narosky were cousins. My parents always looked forward to Bob's visits to Elmira, and their travels to Tribes Hill. I will remember him as a quiet, kind and interesting gentleman. RIP Bob.

So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. Bob was one of a handful of people who helped shape my life and career. I worked for Bob when I was in high school, and then again a year later in my first after school job for another year. Bob wrote a letter of reference for me that year that help me land my next job which turned into a 22 year career in management. I visited Bob many times at the Diana Knit for years and years until he retired. After he retired I called him once or twice a year to chat, and visited him at his home a few times. I was saddened a few years ago when his phone was disconnected, as I could not find out what had happened to him. I'm afraid that i don't know anything about the people he left behind, but if you want to hear more about my memories about him, I would love the opportunity to share them with you. I don't know if it's appropriate or possible for me to leave my email address or phone number here, so I will look back at the website to see if you have reached out to me as I'm not sure if I can make it to the viewing or services. Thank you for the opportunity to tell you that I have always considered Bob to be a very good friend, of not only me but also of my Dad who he worked for. I never saw him get angry, he always had a smile and a gentle way about him.
Sincerely,
Jim Bordis
