Obituary of Mary C. Soulla

Mrs. Mary C. Soulla, 87, of Amsterdam, NY passed away peacefully on Friday, April 7, 2023 with her family by her side.  Born in Amsterdam on June 22, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Mary Smith.

 

A lifelong area resident, Mary attended local schools and worked in the retail industry all of her life.  She was last employed at Big Lots until her retirement.  She enjoyed going to craft shows and spending time with family and dear friends.

 

She was predeceased by her husband, Vincent Soulla; her children, Michael Soulla and Cynthia Pacillo; and her siblings, William, Francis, Charles and Ann; and her best friend, Doris Maxo.

 

Survivors include two children, Deborah Teliha and her husband Michael and Linda Gutowski and her husband Gary; two grandchildren, Carrie Staley and Bonnie Rosa; seven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; her good friends, Mary Canfield and Jamie Budlong; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

A Service of Remembrance will take place on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 1p.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home.  Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service, beginning at 12p.m.  All are invited to attend.  Burial will take place in the family plot at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fort Johnson.
