Obituary of Rose M. Rostowski
Mrs. Rose Marie Rostowski, 96, Cranesville, NY died peacefully Sunday, February 19, 2023 with her family by her side. Born in Detroit, MI on February 16, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Walter and Marie Ella Pelky Clancy.
Rose was dedicated to her family and her faith. She worked for Mohasco for 32 years as a sample weaver. She was also employed as a cook for the Sarah Jane Sanford Home for Women and Fownes Brothers for a time. She was a member of Historic St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church and a former member of the Altar Rosary Society, as well as the Cranesville Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.
On September 14, 1947 she was united in marriage to Leon Rostowski. That union was blessed with 60 years of marriage until Leon’s passing on November 22, 2007. Rose was also predeceased by her sister, Theresa Evans; and her daughter, Linda Cady in 2020.
Survivors include her daughter, Tammy M. Brower (Karrie) of Schenectady; five grandchildren, Brittany Brower (Jason), Adam Brower, Lukas Brower (Taylor), Rebecca Cady, Rachel Duncan (Ajay); three great grandsons, Connor Brower, Bentley and Aarow Duncan; her brother-in-law, Skip Evans; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 11:30a.m. at Historic St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 156 East Main Street, Amsterdam, NY with Rev. Martin Kordel CRL as celebrant. Burial services will follow at 2p.m. at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
