Obituary of Alice Krug
Mrs. Alice Krug, 91, of Canajoharie, NY died peacefully on Saturday, December 10, 2022. Born in Colonie, NY on May 10, 1931 she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Beck Houck; and attended local schools in Albany.
On October 14, 1950 she was united in marriage to Edward L. “Bud” Krug. Together for 54 years, they built a wonderful life together and owned and operated the The Krug Dairy Farm. That union ended with Bud’s passing on March 26, 2004. Alice was also predeceased by her son Allan; her grandson, Michael; two great grandchildren, Connor Christman and Katie Krug; and her siblings, Ruth Jackson and John Houck.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her children, Peter E. Krug and his wife Alyce, Dan E. Krug, Donald E. Krug and his wife Mary, Nancy Boroski and her husband Jim, and Julie Krug (Scott Angus); 24 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and her canine buddy, Rusty.
Liturgy of the Word and Final Commendation will take place on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church, 115 Reid Street, Fort Plain, NY 13339. A calling hour will precede the Liturgy beginning at 10a.m. All are invited to attend.
Burial will take place in St. Peter’s & Paul’s Cemetery, Canajoharie, NY.
