Obituary of Floyd Morrone

Mr. Floyd Morrone, 84, of Broadalbin passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at his home.

 

He was born on January 10, 1937 the son of the late Mr. Anthony Morrone and Mrs. Rosalie Iannotti Morrone of Amsterdam.

 

Floyd attended local schools graduating from Amsterdam High School, the class of 1955. Floyd worked for a number of years as a Plant Manager for Pallette Stone Corp in Saratoga. He  was a communicant of St Joseph’s Catholic Church.He enjoyed outside projects, spending time at the beach with family and friends, going to Stewart’s for coffee and ice cream and socializing with his friends.

 

Floyd is survived by his wife Barbara Boccio Morrone, daughter Toni (Rob) Scott, son James (Addie) Morrone, daughter Pennie (Charlie) Glomula. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Amber (Scott) Przybylowicz, Megan Glomula, Marissa (Steve) Robinson, and Mark (Charlie) Scott, as well as great-grandchildren; Finley, Chloe and Landon Przybylowicz and Zoey and Oliver Robinson. Sister-in-law Marylou (Smith) Brumley, niece Tiffany Brumley, nephew Smith Brumley, and sister-in-law Sally (Robbie) Maybee.

 

A private graveside service took place at Mt Carmel Cemetery.
