Obituary of Clara M. Aguilera

Clara M. Lair Aguilera passed away suddenly on Friday March 26th at Nathan Littauer Nursing Home after a brief illness.

She was born on October 17, 1926 to the late Georgia Ann and Francis Lair. She is predeceased by her husband Louis Aguilera, her stepson Arthur Foote, both her parents, her brothers Francis, Donald, Wilfred and Robert as well as her sister Almeda.

Clara was a lifelong resident of Gloversville where she worked at St Thomas Leather Company and Nichols Department store. One of her passions was baking for church rummage sales, which she did a lot of when she was a member of Bleecker Street Church of Christ in Gloversville.

She is survived by her many grandchildren, great grandchild, and great-great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews.

Keeping with Clara’s wishes, there will be no formal calling hours or funeral services at this time.

Cremation took place at Park View Cemetery, Schenectady.

Arrangements are entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville.
